Bedding for your little Pooh Bear!

The nice thing about a Winnie the Pooh theme, is that you really only have 2 basic choices. You can have a pastel or primary colored Pooh theme. The bedding set you decide to use will make your mind up for you.

Some Winnie the Pooh accessories will blend in with either theme, yet others are made specifically to go with either the pastel or primary colors.

Pooh and Tigger decor is every where. So that is not the issue. The issue is deciding what pieces you just can't live without. This is definitely a case of being careful about not getting too much of a good thing!

Blustery Day:

• Dark aqua, purple, red, orange, bright blue and gold.

Classic Pooh:

• Color washed and faded pastel colors in blue, green, pink and gold.

Cute and Cuddly:

• Pink, peach, yellow, blue and green in pastel to mid-tones.

A list off the top of my head for decorating a kid's room in the Winnie the Pooh theme.

• Paint the lower part of the walls a grass green that will go with whichever Pooh theme Bedding or Wall Decor you're going with. But don't paint a straight line. Make the top of the green portion long swooping curves like rolling hills.
  Now go back over the green with a lighter shade and a darker shade using your sponge or a using a dry brush technique to give the "grass" some texture so it doesn't looks so flat
• Paint the upper portion of the wall sky blue, and sponge some white clouds on it here and there.
• On one wall, paint a huge rainbow from one corner to the other. Then add some of the Winnie the Pooh Wall Stick Ups shown at the bottom of the page
• If you're not into all that, try this wall mural. It would be easy to continue the green and blue onto the other walls following the curvy line. And it also gives you an idea how you could dry brush the grass and the clouds.

• Trace a couple of the Wall Stickups onto pieces of foamcore or balsa wood, cut the shape out, sand it really well, prime and paint a coordinating color, drill two holes in each, and thread through some fabric and use them for tiebacks
• Oh, and if you decide to paint a big rainbow, while you're at it why not paint a big pot 'o gold honey at the end of the rainbow?
