Finding Nemo Theme Decor Tips and Resources
Nemo decor for your kids room is a bit hard to find. However bedding, wall stickers, wall border and other miscellaneous items are still available.
The colors include many shades of blue and aqua, orange, purple, yellow and a lot more. All the colors of the ocean! This is to your advantage when it comes to building your kids room with a Nemo theme.
If you plan to use the wall stickers, do keep in mind that several of them are aqua blue in color, so be careful when choosing your wall colors. A very pale aqua, pale yellow or even a periwinkle color would work great, and would also work with many other themes in the event you want to change themes later on.
If you just want to use the stickers on one wall, you could even paint a nice shade of medium to dark blue on that wall, to give the feeling of being under water. Paint it lighter towards the ceiling with some downward brush strokes at an angle to give the feel of sunlight streaming down, with the darkest blue at the floor. Then scatter your stickers around on the wall to make a Nemo Theme scene.
Money Saving Tips
- Get solid or striped bedding, mixing and matching the Nemo colors, so you can use the same bedding when you change themes.
- Make or buy themed pillows, wall decor, rug and a lamp to pull in the theme.
- Use the wall stickers on furniture, doors and mirrors instead of just on the walls. If the kids have a bunk bed and they have a wooden bottom on the top bunk, put some stickers under there too.
- Use the same techniques in the kids' bathroom. Solid or striped shower curtain and towels, then add a Nemo waste basket and rug and a few stickers or removable wall border.
- Pick up a color book of Finding Nemo which has Nemo, Dory, Marlin and more of the characters in it. Let your child color them, then frame and hang on wall. Or if you're good at drawing, enlarge some of them on the wall and paint them and make your own wall mural.
