Kids Room Nemo Theme

Kid Room Nemo Theme

Q & A

Question:

A reader asks how to work with rose colored carpet from the 80's (she doesn't want to replace it right now), using a Nemo theme in her daughter's room.

Answer:

Your first thought might be that rose carpet will really limit what you can do in that room.

Well that's not the case. Lots of coral is pinkish, hence the color name coral!

Choose your bedding, see examples on right and throw a nice sea color area rug on the floor and decorate away in your Nemo theme.

If you're doing a boys room you have a couple options.

Rip up the carpet and paint the floor or if the room's not too big, use a 5x8 or 8x10 area rug in color of choice.

The furniture will cover a good portion of the floor, and the area rug should catch most of the rest.

And whatever is still showing......ignore.
