Hello! Kitty Collections
There a few different Hello Kitty collections out there. And you can do a search on each one to find specific items. Here are several:
- Princess
- Slumber Party
- Lambs and Ivy has their own collection
- Let's Shop
- Priss, Hawaii Hula Girl, Spring Flowers just to name a few. Don't forget 30th anniversary.
You'll be able to find everything from cell phone covers, etch a sketches, toasters, bedding and furniture to wall decor! Like I said, she's one popular little kitten!
The different department stores usually get their own version, which widens the playing field even more. But they all pretty much stay in the main colors themes of pinks, blues and lavendars. Which makes it fun to decorate and mix 'em up.
The main thing to remember is that if you choose a large item, bedding for instance, with the pink background, then go for the lavendar or some other color on the walls, so you don't lose the impact of the main item in your room.
This canopy is perfect and would look great at the head of the bed with any of the colors on the wall (except white, where it would get lost). Drape your child's bed in this delightful Hello Kitty Mesh Canopy.
A dreamy addition to the Hello Kitty Slumber Party Bedding collection, this sheer white adornment is easy to hang and is dotted with the sweet face of Hello Kitty. The pink and violet support ring is decorated with a welcoming Hello Kitty motif.
To create the ultimate Hello Kitty bedroom for your little one, add the Hello Kitty Slumber Party Valance and Comforter (each sold separately).
Dreamtime Baby, which is one of everybody's favorite sites, has a Hello Kitty toddler bedding set that includes a quilt, fitted sheet, top sheet, and pillow case. Check out the accessories that are available as well.
Besides the biggy, Ebay, you'll usually find a decent selection of Hello! Kitty at Target, Sears Rooms for Kids and even Wicked Cool Stuff.

Ideas for Decorating with the
Hello Kitty Bedroom Theme
Have you been looking for Hello Kitty bedroom
and bathroom theme items?
This is one of my Granddaughters favorites, and here's what I could find for Hello Kitty. Definitely check out the eBay box on the right for many more items that aren't readily available. Check the link at the bottom of the list that shows the total number of items available.
Keep in mind that if you're on a budget and can't afford to "do the whole thing" every couple years, just follow the basics from Nursery Decorating.
It appears that you have two choices for the bedding. One is predominantly lavender the other is reversible pink to lavender. The bathroom decor is for the most part pink, with lavender accents.
Your choice. But for my Hello Kitty theme room I'll be using the reversible comforter, and the pink fabric shower curtain.
Wall paint treatment:
Pale Aqua satin finish base coat with semi-gloss Pale Aqua verticle stripes the width of the paint roller, evenly spaced.
You can get too much of a good thing. If you opt for the lavender comforter and sheet set, don't use lavender on the walls. And if you choose the predominantly pink set, don't use pink for the walls.
Furniture for my girls room:
To go with the colorful bedding and the color on the walls, I'll choose white furniture. Black furniture would also make a great contrast, and might be more "grown up" for later down the road. However, white furniture can always be painted later. That's why I prefer would furnishings to all the plastic stuff out there for kids.
Black or white would look great with aqua, gold or a limey green. It just depends if you want to go with a more traditional girly look or a little more modern look.
Here's my shopping list for Hello Kitty Items . . .
Hello Kitty Flower Comforter - I like this reversible comforter because it gives me two looks for the price of one.
The Let's Shop Sheets from the RoomForKids Girl's Bedding at Sears link below will coordinate nicely with the above comforter.
Hello Kitty Bath Accessories
- A shower curtain and other accessories.
Hello Kitty Clothes Rack
- This will come in handy to hang the pj's on during the day, and a sweater or coat and hat in the evening.
The bed caddy from RoomForKids Kid's Bedding at Sears will help keep her magazines and things off the floor and the nightstand.
Furniture & Accessories:
Sheerly Plisse Window Treatments - I'll use these sheers to add a little zest to the window and also to camoflage the blinds.
Daisy Window Rods and Holdbacks - I'm only going to use the rods, because I don't want to pull back the curtains.
Reflections Twin Panel Headboard, Nightstand and Chest - These are girly looking without being over the top. And could be repainted and have new knobs put on them to spruce them up. I could even use some Wallies to decorate them.
See FURNITURE for Children HERE - And search for Pastel Storage Bins. I like these because it keeps kid's things in the open where they can see them and also make it easier to clean up. Either label each bin with what goes in it, or put a picture on them for the ones who can't read yet.
Bellacor- The watering can lamp from these guys would be really cute. Click the link in their lower left column that says "Children's Furnishings". I've seen the watering can lamp other places, but Bellacor has the better price. The watering can goes with the flower theme and has the right colors.
Of course in the kid bathroom you really need to have the shower curtain since that adds the biggest splash of theme in that room. Get some small accents like the toothbrush holder, shower curtain rings. If you want even more, get a matching window treatment, which will more than likely just be a valance. . . . . and maybe a coordinating wallpaper border or some Wallies.
