If you keep your thoughts in the "natural" mode you should be safe when planning what you want to do in here.
- Bamboo blinds, bamboo beaded curtains, bambo curtain rods, bamboo accented furnishings
- Matchstick or woven wood blinds, roman shades made from khaki colored fabric or even a palm or banana leaf print
- Colors: Shades of green from a light olive drab to a dark teal green; Various shades of khaki, tan, sand or brown; Accent with either orange tones or lean more towards the pink/burgundy shades; All of the above depending on what your bedding or other fabric choices are
- Consider other natural fibers like the grass skirt type bedskirt, or split bamboo or reed fencing.
- If you have trouble finding the natural fibers or you find that they are out of your price range, look for fabric that gives the look of fibers, wicker, rattan etc.
- The dark sultry blacks, tans and sienna colors would look great in a teens room, but keep it a little more light and airy for the young ones; Painting sky blue on the upper part of the wall, or adding some bright accents like some of the ones on this page will help liven it up.
