Finally! Decorating Idea Teen Girls!
Last time I checked Macy's had a Dean Miller "Board Members Only" Bedding Ensemble - Escape to the beach every night. Surfboards set against a backdrop of water, sand and palm trees bring aloha attitude to any room.
This is a great teen bedding set if she's a surfer or dreams about being one. I like the orange behind it, but it would look just as well with the aqua blues or lime green on the wall. Then add this surfboard wall border to pull it all together.
If you'd like to "Chic it up a notch" use the Tommy Hilfiger "Lulu Stripe" Pink Bath Accessories in the bathroom. It pulls in some pink and purple along with all the other colors in the bedding set. Fun and functional, the Lulu Stripe bath accessories bring a colorful, whimsical flair to a typically boring bath. Rubberized stripes of pink, red, green and blue are wrapped around clean white ceramic for a pop of color and no-slip grip. Coordinates with Lulu Stripe towels and shower curtains for a clean, coordinated and carefree look. All from Macy's. Do a Google search below using the names above, and you might be able to find them elsewhere.
The natural color furniture looks great with this set, but white would work too. Of course you can get the painted furniture with the natural wood trim and have the best of both worlds. You could add white wood or matchstick blinds at the window, and also paint a few surf boards here and there on the walls.
Another decorating idea teen girls would be to use a Raffia Bedskirt, and natural colored blinds, furniture and room accents. This would be just beachy for this look!
This would still leave it open for her to add her own special touches, like posters and such with more vibrant colors in them. Just put a nice frame painted in any of the colors around them to help them "blend". You (she) could even choose an accent color or two from the bedding to scatter about the room with other accessories, like shelves, lamp, rug, chair etc.
If she's more of the dark, sultry and exotic persuasion there are several options for her. Most of them will have some black in them that she probably loves and has to have, without making it too dark and daunting. I've even seen some with pink that gives it just a touch of "she she" without being frilly.
Zanzibar Exotic Bed-In-A-Bag a Domestications Exclusive is a perfect example - Take a winter dream cruise to somewhere warm, where every day and night brings new and exotic surprises. Like a fleeting glimpse of leopard spots among the orchids offered by Zanzibar. Okay enough already with the day dreaming!
If you go check it out, you'll see the linen color on the walls, which is 'okay', but I think a nice soft gold or bamboo color would make it warmer. If she doesn't mind pink, a medium pink from the print could be used instead. On the other hand she might like some sultry satin black wooden furniture or rattan furniture to go with this set. Put up one of those banana leaf ceiling fans and she'll be styling! (Add one of those leopard print high heel chairs for fun!)

Is exotic miss or funktified teen not quite her style? How about Red Hot? Look for a set called Martex® Troubadour Comforter Set. That ought to brighten things up a bit! Decorating for the teen to young adult age. This is a room she can take with her. It's a classic decorating idea-teen girls design. Add a netting canopy to it and she'll be queen. What am I thinking? She's already the queen!
If you follow along with what I do, you know I don't like stuff to be too "matchy-matchy". However, when I saw the Marrakesh Bath Coordinates from Kohl's I decided to set my feelings aside.
But there's a reason. The accessories, even though very strong in color, could be used in a variety of situations, since they aren't actually print or specifically patterned. And as long as you don't overdo it in the rest of the room, I think they will be a totally posh decorating idea-teen girls.
There is also a matching wallpaper border that has the striped pattern shown on the shower curtain. But you know what? I'd use it in the bedroom, not the bathroom!
Since the Troubadour Comforter Set is mostly red with some gold and cream accents and the wallpaper border has purple along with the red and gold, I'd look for something in purple and gold to pull in those colors.
How about a purple rug for the floor, and one purple and one gold throw pillow for the bed, and maybe some gold or purple sheers (or both, why not?) at the window. Maybe find some nice twisted cording or satin ribbons in purple or gold and drape around the bed canopy.
