Ideas For The Teen Girls Rooms
That seems like a contradiction in terms. Is she still your little girl, is she a teen (tween), or is she a young woman now? She will no doubt let you know how she wants her room done. No question about that. I doubt you will be able to "do it your way" any more!
It's her room, and it's all about compromise while you're deciding on how to decorate her room. She can blend teen and young-adult items in the same room while still keeping some of her favorites from childhood. She just needs to think of a common denominator to help things coordinate. And you know what? If they don't, so what? If she likes it, that's what counts.
Here's a great decorating idea teen girls room with a colorful fun attitude

The squiggly rug on the left would go with just about any of them.
Try your hand at something like this on the wall. There are instructions for painting the wall and ceiling. And who says you have to use lime green?
The lime green wave at the top of the picture meets up to the ceiling which is also painted lime green. Pretty cool. Then you purchase the self adhesive sticker kit that includes the flowers and the dots to put however you choose.
Add a little funk or retro, depends on your point of view to the entry or closet door with some beaded curtains, and other bedroom accessories to liven it up and it's a done deal! A Playing It Safe Decorating Idea for Teen Girls
Shop BrylaneHome.com! and check out their Scenario line (just type SCENARIO into their search box). This is exactly what I'm always talking about when I say to decorate with generic bedding, curtains, bath accessories etc.
If you bought everything in this line and used it, you would still not have any 'style' or 'theme' in your room.
But how easy would it be to add your favorite throw (nap blanket), pillows, a few prints or posters, accent rugs etc to your room to get your theme for the day? Add a cute chair and some lighting to make it yours and you'll be all set.
If she's more of the dark, sultry and exotic persuasion there are several options for her. Most of them will have some black in them or the new black, which is espresso brown. I've even seen some with pink that gives it just a touch of "she she" without being frilly.
This bathroom accessory set would look great with this bed.
If she's into a goth style, this Mercer Bed
would make a not too ominous bed.
I can just see this with a gorgeous red comforter set. Wrought iron and wood accessories are
easy to find, but it's easy to get some flea market finds and spray paint them black, or a rusty
black. You'd be amazed how the most mundane object can be come a work of art.
Decorating idea teen girls: Try an old bicycle rim that still has the spokes in it. Spray it a flat black/rust color combination, and use some red clothes pins and turn it into a photo collage or message board.
